Privacy Policy

Short version: no third-party trackers, no ad networks, no selling of data. The full version is below.

What we collect

• Page views (cookieless). We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which runs on hashed, cookieless requests. It gives us page counts, general country, and browser/device type — not a personal profile, and no cross-site tracking.
• Outbound click events (first-party). When you click an Amazon link on this site, your browser posts a small event to our own server containing the link destination and its position on the page. We use this to understand which recommendations readers actually use so we can improve them. These events are not tied to your personal identity.
• Newsletter email addresses. If you subscribe, we store your email address and which page you subscribed from. That's it — no purchase data, no third-party list services, no sharing.

What we don't do

• No third-party cookies or tracking pixels.
• No sale or rental of personal information.
• No affiliate links in email. Newsletter messages will never contain Amazon affiliate links (this is required by Amazon's program terms).
• No personalization of content or ads.

Affiliate relationships

SquatchDIY is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you buy through our links, Amazon pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. This is how the site funds itself.

Your newsletter data

You can unsubscribe from any email with one click. After you unsubscribe we stop sending you emails and delete your address from the list within 30 days. To unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data now, email hello@squatchdiy.com.

Links to other sites

Our Amazon links take you to Amazon.com; Amazon's own privacy policy applies once you're there. We are not responsible for the content or practices of external sites.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we'll say so in the newsletter before it takes effect. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
